Norwegian rock band Howl released their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Higher Class of Lush’ in 2008. That same year they where also the most played band on Norwegian NRK P3 with 3(!) singles A-listed. New album has been recorded this fall in Gothenburg. This time around they have teamed up with Swedish producer Mattias Glavå (Håkan Hellström, Dungen etc.). Release March 8th 2010. Ever since legends like Roger Troutman and Alvino Ray and  explored the talkbox, there has been a tremendous amount of misuse of vocal effects. There’s a wrong way to do things and there’s a right way. Kanye’s massive succes in 808’s and Heartbreaks must have meant he atleast did something right. The trick is to take what’s already explored to the next level, and that’s what he did. Here’s a video that does exactly that – a great example of creativity and innovation.

There’s plenty of things I miss about Christmas in England, a beautiful roast turkey, luxury Christmas crackers and deep-filled mince pies.
